Home Visits
We ask all our patients to make every effort to attend the surgery. The receptionists will try and accommodate urgent cases as much as possible and will attempt to get you seen. Home visits are only offered to patients that are housebound (i.e. the patient is unable to travel due to their medical condition ).
If you need to request a home visit please telephone the surgery before 12 noon. The doctor may telephone you before visiting to find out more details or offer an alternative to visiting if deemed more appropriate.
Please note that if you choose to register with us and you fall outside the catchment area the doctor will not be able to make any home visits, please ensure you consider this before registering.
Visit requests received after midday will be dealt with by the duty doctor and if it is of a non-urgent nature may be deferred until the following day.
You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
