Repeat Prescriptions
We require 48 hours (2 working days) notice for the preparation and completion of your prescription request.
We regret we are unable to take prescription requests over the telephone; requests should be made in writing. You should either put your repeat medication slip in the box on the counter at reception, or in our letter box, or you can post it to the surgery.
Some local pharmacies operate a repeat prescription service and will let us have your repeat prescription request.
Alternatively you may wish to register for online services where you will be able to order your repeat medications online via the link at the top of this page.
Electronic prescriptions are now available but please notify the surgery with your nominated pharmacy if you require this service.
For information requests put in on a Thursday cannot be guaranteed for collection until Monday after 14:00. Also requests put in on a Friday cannot be guaranteed to be ready until Tuesday, after 14:00.
We understand on occasions it is possible for patients to forget to request their medication before they run out!
We are happy to help in these circumstances, however please be aware that we may not be able to deal with these requests immediately, and you may be asked to call back later at a time agreed with the Prescribing Coordinator.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
